The Paulistano armchair was designed in 1957 by the Brazilian architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha to furnish the Gymnasium of Clube Atlético Paulistano, an architectural work he designed together with João De Gennaro.
With its steel structure painted in matt black and its seat in canvas, the Paulistano matte/canvas is probably the most faithful version of the original Clube Paulistano model.
The steel bar is full, with a single point weld. The seat dresses the structure, like a garment. The armchair's design, with a suspended body and a slight swing in the back, provides ergonomic and very comfortable furniture.
An icon of international design, Paulistano takes its elegance into the living room, lobby, bedroom and also into corporate office environments.
